The Live Info Media

The Indian Army has caught a woman who crossed the Line of Control (LoC) into the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The woman, identified as Shehnaz Akhtar, was spotted by alert soldiers using high-tech surveillance cameras. She was trying to enter Indian territory near the Mendhar area when she was intercepted and taken into custody.

Who is Shehnaz Akhtar?

Shehnaz Akhtar is a resident of Gimma village in the Kotli district of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Reports about her age vary, with some saying she is 26 and others stating she is 35. After being caught, she was immediately moved to a secure Army camp for question

ing to understand exactly why she crossed one of the most heavily guarded borders in the world.

Family Dispute or Serious Threat?

There are currently two different versions of why she crossed the border. Some initial reports suggest that Shehnaz fled her home following a heated argument with her father and wandered into Indian territory out of desperation. However, security agencies are not taking any chances and are investigating if there is a more dangerous motive behind her actions.

Suspicious Links to Pakistan Army

Investigators have uncovered some worrying details about her journey. It is reported that before she crossed over, Shehnaz stayed very close to a Pakistan Army post. Sources claim that Pakistani soldiers even provided her with breakfast before she moved toward the LoC. Additionally, it is alleged that a man named Zehen gave her ₹1,000 just before she made the attempt to enter India.

Potential Terror Connections

Intelligence agencies are looking into whether Shehnaz has any links to the women’s wing of the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed. This suspicion arose because of a recent viral message from the group’s leader claiming that many women were joining their ranks. Experts are checking if her crossing was a “test” or part of a plan involving the group’s female branch, known as Jamaat ul Mominaat.

Joint Team Leading the Inquiry

Currently, a joint team consisting of the Indian Army and female police officers is questioning Shehnaz. They are digging deep into her background and checking her mobile records and stories to see if she is truly a civilian in distress or if she was sent with a specific mission. For now, she remains in detention as the investigation continues in the sensitive border region of Poonch.
